In 2015 at 19 she debuted her debut single Here. It was an instant hit with both critics as well as admirers praised the song. The song peaked at 19th among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among 2015's best Songs. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks that made it to the top charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. It was a special track because, based on the Rap-Up interview that she did with people who listened to her music could identify with her journey of growing to accept themselves as a person and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara's music is known for its messages of kindness, self-love and mental health. All of Cara's music stems directly from her struggle with mental illness and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview she describes the album as being half turbulent and half mastered. Therapy has helped her develop and encourages her fans to make the same. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian heritage. Her parents gifted her with a guitar when she was only 10-years-old. It ignited her passion for music. After three years, at the age of 13 she started to cover her favourite songs through YouTube a major media platform to show the world that she was gifted and the determination to be a singer. In fact, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather was the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record her songs.
